Marc Hoffmann
Biography
Marc Hoffmann began his career in 1984 with Morgan Guaranty Trust Company before serving as Vice-President of JP Morgan Securities London from 1987 to 1990. From 1990 to 1995, he worked for the AIG Financial Products Group (UK), initially as Vice-President and Head of Financial Products Marketing for Europe, then at Banque AIG in Paris, where he became Chairman of the Management Committee. In 1995, Marc joined Dexia-BIL in Luxembourg as Head of Financial Markets. He became a Member of the Executive Board in 1996 and ran private banking, financial banking, institutional banking, and fund administration activities. He was appointed CEO and Chairman of the Executive Committee in 2001 and also became a Member of the Dexia Group Executive Committee. In 2006, he left Dexia-BIL and initiated the creation of a new Luxembourg Private Bank, Compagnie de Banque Privée (CBP), which specialised in private banking services. In January 2023, the Bank announced the merger of CBP Quilvest with Fideuram Bank (Luxembourg) to become Intesa Sanpaolo Wealth Management S.A., where he was appointed its first CEO. Marc was appointed to REYL Intesa Sanpaolo’s Board of Directors in 2024.
Education
Marc Hoffmann graduated from EDC Paris and obtained postgraduate degrees from University Panthéon-Sorbonne (D.E.S.S. '84) and Harvard Business School (AMP '99).
