A-shares are definitely a positive development, but investors need to be cautious due to sell-offs in emerging and Asian markets.

That is according to Reyl Singapore’s head of portfolio management, Daryl Liew, who discussed both the popularity of A-shares and the fact that on a year-to-date basis, they have actually underperformed.

Liew also said there is still some value in fixed income, highlighting the areas of the asset class that he has been adding to in recent months.
